Hmmm... Well, I guess I have to reply to that, right? So ...
How about having the system 'degrade' a user to a newbie status if they don't post, for, say, one year. BUT - if they donate a minimum amount - they cannot be 'demoted' - EVER. So that's an incentive for existing members too :)
