how was the court? it looks pretty good..

The 2 main courts were decent sized. Built well, only one crash through the boards! The courts dipped towards the middle but it wasn't too noticeable. The biggest and, in my opinion, the only drawback was the way the ball stuck to the boards.

The best European teams (including BAD) are better than the best of the London teams, but not by much. For us to be able to consistently beat them, we'll definitely need to start playing serious team games regularly.
Let's sort out team nights here.

Hi guys!
I only wanted to tell u Thanks for coming.
I know everything was a little kaos, I tried to do my best (next time would be better).
It was difficult to organize everything, I had to wait for teams who were racing, teams who registered themselves but didnt showup, wait to close the reg. searching for helpers who werent there....
I know it could be better than it was, but after two days I am starting to realize that everyone had fun, we had a lot of nice games (tournament ones and pickup ones...) and thats the main point, Polo.I promise Berlin would organize a good tournament (without all the problems we had) and all of u guys are invited to come here again whenever you want and play polo with us.
So once more: thanks guys, it was a pleasure to get to know you, I couldt say bye to all ouf u but now i will do. Bye and thanks for coming.
Yours sincerelly.
Miguel. -

Absolutely, it was a blast! All the complaints aren't directed towards you, Miguel. It's just the fact that the polo was a side-event. There wasn't really a way around that and I think you did an excellent job considering.
I really want to go back to Berlin for a proper tourney. Miguel, please give my thanks to Marc, Phil and everybody else who helped you out.

Miguel thanks for having us, and thanks for put together the tourney, whatever was a little bit messy or not.
Chaval, un placer enorme el haberte conocido, ven a Londres cuando quieras que aqui tienes tu casa y amigos, y no te preocupes que para los Europeos ya la armaremos.

Graet to meet you, Miguel. You and your team did great, given the circumstances.

yep, hope we can arrange that!We should really arrange that! ...eventhough I will be working far away from Karlsruhe most of the time before that :(
Had a great time in Berlin as well, despite the fact that I felt like a greenhorn after half year without polo before that (ok two very enjoyable times in London during that timespan :))
cheers from Ireland..

Thanks you two. Yes, Yorgo managed to keep to his routine in Berlin - reading the Guardian between games whilst smoking a fine cigar, then a quick nap before playing again. Sadly in Berlin he had to swap his usual gourmet Borough Market sandwich for a Burger King in the rain.
There's guilt in those eyes!
Ha! The caption under it, 'schöne Ballführung' means 'beautiful ball guidance'!
