Ha, a Strida hero!
Some people swear by them, and it's certainly an intriguing concept and they seem to have got better over the years, but there is certainly still a bit of risk associated with component failure. :) I've heard it's not just the belt, but also the hinges and various other fittings. But I'm sure if you only ever go on short hops without luggage and really don't have any space for a bike, it's an interesting purchase ...
