  • So you advise a cyclocross over the Globe SAN FRANCISCO 1?I would be using it 90% of the time for commuting to and from work 5 miles away gfoing to the pool etc.Would a 42/16 set up be fine for this type of thing?

    I got mine from Jenson last year and love it to death. With the rebounding pound it is not a bad price even when you include shipping and VAT, compared to the cost a of a frame alone here, and they are amazing bikes. I'm sure they are lighter than the Globes you are looking at, and although they don't have disc brakes, a well set up pair of cantis are fine for on or off road. I've got a set of 45*700cc tyres that are great off road, its amazing what you can do off-road with just some smallish tyres and a bit of HTFU.
