Theres no quill adapter there the headset has had the threads machined out so it is basically a ahead headset with fancy spacers.
Reaming the threads out of a threaded headset doesn't make an aheadset; a key component of the aheadset is the tapered collet which ensures that the upper bearing is precisely centred on the steerer tube without play. If what you say is true, I was wrong but the bike is an even more epic fail than I thought, total form-over-function wank.
