I don't think it's a very good idea to have one on your house/flats. People will see your bike up on the wall all the time, and someone will eventually just bring a ladder and nick it. Public places, like University campus's, train station etc. are better locations. Camberwell Art College would probably benefit, for example.
A simpler mechanism might work well, and would proabaly be more cost effective - something along the lines of having a winch, whereby you hoist your bike into place with a chain - rather than having an electrical system that would cost a bomb, and would probably break.
