Most stems are 3, 5, 6 or max. 10 degrees.
Some short, ungly cheap MTB ones up to 30 or 45 degrees.I know that some years ago, Giant OCR bikes came with 17degrees ahead stems.
It was the 1st year that OCR came with threadless stems. 2002/2003 or so.
Not the nicest stems, but absolutely 17deg. / 31.8 steerer / 26.0 bar.

Cheers for the reply DC. I guess I'll go with 10 degrees - there appears to be plenty of choice.

hi there. ressurecting this thread cause i'm also after a 17 degrees rise stem with a 26mm clamp, i guess i could use a shim so clamp not important.
i've just found the NITTO UI-86 BX but it's a bit pricey with delivery and maybe import tax so i was wondering if anyone knows where i could find a black one on the internet.
cheers! -

Cinelli Vai is; recently discontinued but longer/shorter lengths still available, only mid lengths hard to find.

Shim shim shiiiiiiimm

the problem is not the clamp but the angle of the stem... no shim for that :)
i'm looking for a 17 degree stem. cinelli vai is 6 and although i'm happy with that, it's difficult to find the right size. -

Vai had several options; one is 17deg/26mm or I wouldn't have suggested it.

cool! thanks everyone.
Can anyone come up with ideas for ahead stems in -17 degrees? I'm looking for 1" ahead (shimmed down is fine) with 26mm clamp. Silver would be perfect, but white might do it.
Thompson used to do them but now they just do -17 in black with an oversized 31.8 clamp (Thompson Elite X2 Road).
The only options I have seen so far are Velo Orange and Fixie Inc stems.
