Hi all, I've been on here for a few weeks now too, just in the middle of building up a fixed 1979 Raleigh frame, blue in colour, pink pedals, and the shortest bars I've ever had.... See you all at Critical Mass for it's first proper outing, looking forward to meeting a few of you guys and gals....

Hello - loving the forum and the t-shirt designs. I am a roadie scumbag and a DH mountain biker who rides a langster fixie to work. Am scouring the threads waiting for the perfect vintage frame to come my way... being patient.

Price inquiry.. Any suggestions of how much this original Motobecane Track(from the latter 80's probably) is worth? Tubular tyres. Frame size 52cm.

Just impulsively bought a Raleigh Equipe frame for very cheap, most probably because it's very shit and heavy, but it has horizontal dropouts and that's a start. Looking forward to having my first fixed experience soon. Once i get some other cheap parts.
And i guess this is the part where i get told why that frame was so cheap...

hello all
i am trying to get a fixie for my commute to and from work, i currently ride a mountain bike the 12/14 miles a day.
Today i was riding near to my house and i found a dumped bike which i am trying to ID, I asked the guy whose garden it was in if it was his and he said it had been dumped there a while back so i took it home, the badge on the front is shown below, Thanks in advance ..

Hi, new to the forum. Had a Specialized Tricross single speed for a little while but last night swapped the freewheel for a fixed sprocket. Loving it! Great for my commute in bike-friendly, flat Hamburg but not sure how it'll be back on the hilly Isle of Wight...

Another new guy.
Ex BMXer from the 90's when bikes wer solid heavy things with small bars, Harrow skate park was my local :).
Was riding a hybrid GT that I hated, it had shitty bouncy suspension and noisy clatering gears but I got it cheap of ebay and it got me to work but I needed something a bit more fun.
Got myself a Fuji Track 08 after reading up on here, changed the bars to some cheap dmr things stem to a bmx DK stem, got some shimano SX pedels with home made straps (wanted some old DX pedels but couldnt find any) and riding 48 18 fixed.
Maybe some new wheels next then maybe a FMB Sword.
Anyway here are some pics.
My Fuji
My 2000 ish S&M next gen dirt bike being rebuilt (at this rate for next summer)
And one of these for when I cant be bothered to cycle.. yeah I know boooooo
No questions at the mo, search function works just fine.
