please can everyone fill this in.. it takes like a second and i met the guy that started it yesterday and he was a well amazing guy..told me stories of riding in races of 6000 people in france across the french alps and how he's been racing for about 50 years....

he was knocked off his bike by a truck whilst the driver was texting and was on a life support machine and 2 of his cycling friends were killed in road accidents due to drivers texting whilst driving and he is desperate not to let it happen to anyone else...he is well passionate about it in a really loving and caring way...

i know these petition things can be annoying but this one is real important to him..and to us, innit...

he wants to get 40,000 signatures so PLEASE fill it in now before you forget

our cm was totally amazing too..we rode down the main dual carriageway and someone reckoned they counted 400 people which is over double our previous max ride....so so so ace..i miss you guys...may come visit soon to do the the dynamo...

yesterday a driver pulled out from a side road in front of me, the reason he did not see me was he was holding the phone with his right hand so could not see when he did his perfunctory check

done, I fucking hate it when they use mobile phone, worse than drink driving frankly when it required your attention to talk and/or text.

Done, I loath people that drive and use their mobiles. It should be a £5000 fine and an instant ban if they get caught.

Hate mobile using drivers. Texting while driving is the worst though. At least the talkers have their eyes on the road.

As a general principle I support more draconian penalties for driving offences. If one thing is clear from the current system is that it is only a form of punishment and not a deterrent.
