shame about another lost set of trails, if anyone finds a nice bit of land thats buildable, post up and im only too willing to help, be nice to have some in eastish london.
I've been looking for an age. I've only found one vaguely suitable place but the ground is full of rubble too.I'm just planning on hitting up Haywards Heath every now and then instead.

i keep hunting, but so far to no avail, getting bored of having to trek to woburn or chicksands to ride decent trails where people dont moan about 26" riding on them. whats at haywards heath?

Beautiful jumps. The guys who built them have a strict 20" only rule, I'm afraid. -
• #60
as usual, cant blame them though, most 26" riders end up flattening landings.
-
• #61
I stand corrected, judging by the photos on google they've started letting mountain bikes on them too.

hmm. any link?

To be fair Pete. It depends on who builds the trails. There are some in Leatherhead that are awsome and were all build by MTBers. They have since stopped digging and riding there. If one of them go's back for a day at the jumps they get shit from the BMXers who now dig there. Not cool. One of the problems we had at our jumps was MTBers doing them while they were still in construction or when they were wet and fucked them up good and proper. I have no problem with MTBers riding trails as long as they acknoledge (as you have just done) that they do slightly more damage than BMX's and put in the work the repair them.

true, as you say if we all respected it then it would be fine, but theres always trail killers, turn up, case, ride off.

I'm being lazy. Do a google image search for Haywards Heath Trails.(Yes, I am aware I could have done this for you in the time it took to type this).

a few years back i spent some time building mud / earth jumps just down from mile end station
it was right next door to a go cart track
haven't been past there in a while but i don't think it ever really got off the ground
it was just a bit of waste land near the railways arches just of the canal
otherwise for eastend action there is canh hall road wooden ramps hips boxes and 1/4 and 1/2 pipes grinds etc
not a basd place to spend a few hours on a saturday usually some pretty competent dudes doing there stuffand ofg course the place in victoria park although can't say i've ever seen to many bmx'ers there just skate dudes
-
• #69
thanks, aware of them spots, the mile end ones have definately gone, ramps are ok, but if its not trails then i prefer street, never really been a grind or ramp rider, trails flow for me.
also cheers plagiarist, i was being equally lazy asking for a link.

Latonstone Park? Good park but can be a bit shady if people deside they want all your bikes. There is only one exit.

victoria park is very cool, good hips and gaps.

Only if you can make it somewhere near Marble Arch or Kingscross if it's a bit later on.
I've got a train to catch at 8.30 -

I sometimes hit that early in the morning on weekends (Pre kiddies wakeup time). It can be a hell of a lot of fun and the not quite foot high ledge is perfect for practising grinds. -
