Only put 'em on there last week - didn't want it on my conscience if someone bought the bike and slipped off on the way home. Pretty easy to take off tho'.

how about the fact that it is single speed with only 1 brake.

If Aran somehow pulls out can I get 2nd dibs on the Pug frame?

How about the fact that you're named after the lamest character in the whole LOTR trilogy, and I have balls the size of creme eggs?
Third dibs on the Pug goes to Jaw - had someone else PM me before you replied, sorry about that.

Duty of care when selling.
If you put ourys on because you are worried about 'safety'. Maybe you should make people aware that with only a front brake they are not safe and also not road legal.
Just a thought, after all not everyone has cadbury's cream eggs for balls.

Tbh I'd have thought that would've been obvious, but yeah, fair point.
BIKE IS NOT ROAD LEGAL.
JUST LIKE ALL THOSE BRAKELESS FIXED GEAR BIKES, WHICH SOMEHOW DON'T SEEM TO PROVOKE AS MUCH OF A SHITSTORM ON HERE. EQUALLY ILLEGAL.
However, the positive thing about this bike is that if you have balls the size of creme eggs (like me) these can be used as a braking system, simply by wedging them in between the back wheel and the frame.
I must urge readers that no matter how tempted they are, NOT to try this with the front wheel and the frame. Safety first.

If you want £300 for it, maybe a little less, put it on eBay.
check out the one that sold for £455! Fuck me, £45 quid off brand new! But yeah, i'm sure you'll get at least £250 on the bay..
Good luck.

Thanks man - I'd much rather see her to to a LFGSS type tbh, but if nothing comes of the few PMs I have, I'll definitely wack it up there.
Jesus, £455 though. If only I could guarantee two co-bidding maniacs. :D

You've upgraded it with Ourys and 'rare' Nitto parts, I can smell the paypal money already.

That's my sales pitch right there. They'll be gristle to my mill!

• #24
If you split can I take the bars please?
cheers.............

Not going to split I'm afraid - last chance to buy before I sling it up on the 'bay...
It is with a tear in my eye (and a wrench in my wallet) that I say goodbye to my Old Faithful, my modified Plug - size Small. I've put Nitto dildo bars on the front (with brown Oury grips), replaced the shoddily-built standard wheelset with black sealed Genesis Hubs and Alex Rims, and put a set of Conti GP4000 brown tyres on there - match the seat nicely, though you can't really see it in the pic.
Some dings to the paint from locking it up at work every day, but nothing major - much loved and well-looked after, £300 to you squire. (Shown without chain - it's soaking in detergent. Will put this back on before collection, unless you enjoy walking bikes around.)
Just to be clear, the hub at the back IS flipflop but I think the fixed side appears to be broken. At least, there's no cog on there and I've never tried to use it. Ergo, it's JUST single speed, not fixed.
Also selling an old Pug frame+forks+bb, 56cm, bit battered but structurally OK, would make a nice cheap conversion. £30 - SOLD to arantrek
Lastly, I'm flogging my unridden Death skateboard. I set this up last month without realising how poor I was going to be this month. Curses. It's a decent ride, Union trucks, Efren wheels, griptape, not haunted, the usual shebang. £80.
Collection from Stoke Newington/Hackney preferred. Optimum safeness.
