do tell old chap...
Well it is my birthday!
and no.
not gonna.
not till I get my hands on everything.
Then maybe, but maybe not.
But this summer is going to be the summer of projects.
(this, geek2, maybe building the moser for Nav***hire)
And I got paid by my college today, which was a nice surprise, considering they'd owed me a fair bit of money.
But it will be nice. -

.I couldn't possibly have any idea what you're talking about...
(Shh... It's a secret)

I'm also seriously considering selling my Fort in order to start a new fixed project... Cinelli Supercorsa Pista perhaps...

I have *finally *finished converting my Peugeot Carbolite 103. Started off riding SS and before long I was hooked on fixed. Riding 52x18 on mainly stock parts.
Already looking around for my next build!Enjoy!
Nice! I used to ride one of those as a kid, until i snapped the frame by jumping down too many steps.
Ive seen a few of these around lately, one guy was riding one with gears still and tiny chopped down bars.

make sure you get those spare chain links
Hhhhmmm, I do like it tight.
-
• #10183
yeah, but you didn't build that
-
• #10184
...and it's impractical
-
• #10185
The only things on it which haven't been changed are the headset, front wheel and seat tube. I don't see how it is impractical?
-
• #10186
ever got a puncture? ever changed a wheel? ever ridden a bike?

• #10187
tick, tick and tick

Haha, ok fair enough, but I am just getting started out and still learning a lot. Next project I'll aspire to something a little better...

no the references to the chain being tight were to the swagger bike below yours. yours is fine as the dropouts face forward.

Flyer i just finished for a mate who wanted an SS for around town, i think he'll switch up the wheels and cranks to black ones when he has the cash, but its come out nice and he is on 2 wheels again following the theft of his last steed

[QUOTE=joe1983;715012]Just got my frames back from a respray at Bob Jackson - I think they look class! Both are late 60s early 70s and were a wreck before. Going to build up the Merlin as a geared bike with Nuovo record, record, gran sport groupset I have and a nice brooks. Thinking about building the Freddie Grubb as a fixed with black deep v's on some gold on one high flange hubs I have but will probably sell it as my bike collection is a lot healthier than my bank balance. Here's some pics:
[IMG]http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo176/Joe1983_photo/DSC00641.jpgMerlin looks a treat man, can't wait to see it built up

You know that! Spokey-dokeys might have been a bit too far but I think the reflector I can get away with!
