I'd say some of the stuff that Hope do (the titanium bodied hubs were a classic), perhaps some Middleburn cranks too?
X-lite's bar ends from the late 90s were good (Stubby Pros anyone?) and some USE stuff might be worth a look.
Oh, and anything PACE did while they were good. Best English bike at the moment is the On One Ti 456, although that is made by Lynskey in the States...
