I'd keep an eye on the forum, some people have been selling RX-1's (fancy cool pedals), with clips and straps for sub £100 recently.
My recommendation would be MKS toeclips (featured above), nylon straps (or laminated leather, plain leather tends to stretch), on MKS GR-9 pedals, which are available from condor, evans, etc. They're good for street use, as they're nice and flat (and therefore comfy), and quite long, which helps to compensate for the relative smallness of MKS toeclips sizes.
