  • sweeeeeeet. very classy build, i can't wait to see it in the flesh, err metal.

not sure those bullhorns are going to be accepted at tracks though, although you'd probably know better than me.

i think i'm going to split that graham weigh and sell its frame and bits. the fork's knackered and i had to cut the stem out, so it just needs too much spending on it, and i'm dang broke. may build up a coaster hub for use on my pomp on slow-ass dayrides.

  • Nice Dolan pistaboy.

DWS, you mind if I have a peek at your Weigh, I may need a few bits for my road bike. Particularly a rear wheel and a seatpost.

    Thanks

    Thanks mate.
I just put the bullhorns on whilst i get the drops sorted. The Nitto's i got my hands on turned out to be 38cm..... TINY!!

  • deadly, you can have a look. all this stuff is heading for ebay otherwise. the seatpost is 90s campag 27.2mm, pretty darn short - looking for a tenner. the rear wheel is 8sp campag with a campag rim, although i tried to true it up and it's pretty unworkable without rebuilding. you'd need new nipples at least and a good deal of patience.

  • That's a shame DWS. It looked a real nice project too!

Can I take a look at this also please Dan? I too need a rear wheel ( geared ) if DFP doesnt want it... also interested to see the frame and what other bits were on it.

    Worrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd.

  • thats a good looking wheelset. what sort of hubs are they?

  • i have a new bike and it's very nice but i don't have any photos of it yet. Does anyone want my dolan pre-cursa size 56, it's up for sale now?

  • My ebay.fr Gitane has been resprayed mint green (read faux bianchi) and i've solved the french headset problem eventually (and hopefully for good adrian) by putting on some carbon forks i had kicking about from an earlier incarnation. Doesn't quite fit the 60's steel look but now i don't have a wobbly headset so its all good i guess. I have a pair of bullhorns, some flat bars and some chopped drops kicking about too so i'm going to have a fiddle next week and see which feels best...I think it may be the flat bars though....My eggbeaters finally wore out so I'm on the lookout for some more clipless pedals but i'm broke...we'll see what turns up...

On-One Gold - got them cheap in their 100 item sale a few months back. They've got silver front and rear in stock for £25 each at the mo.

  • Nice bike nelson. Saw you locking up near St Philips t'other day, reversed and went passed again for a second viewing. What ratio; notice you don't have clips?

  • Yeah, my eggbeater pedals have broken so i need to save up to get some more, its not going to happen before next payday so i've got the flat pedals from my all weather commuter on. 46:15 or 42:15 ratio i think, its fine with my eggbeaters on but unclipped its a bit sluggish to start. Need new pedals soon! You were on a blue bike?

  • Yeah, she was my first, ol' bluey.
But now I've spanked all my money on building a newer/improved bike.
I'm going to send her to the bike polo pastures to live out her remaining days.

  • my current project frame, I think it's a old claude butler, light as anything and takes a 27.2 seatpost and is plenty old. Re-sprayed with cans, hope it doen't chip like a bastard but at the moment I'm pretty proud and feel the need to share it with someone. Hope you can see it!

  • wow, looks awesome for a diy job :o

  • Thats a tasty frame all righht

  • My new Raleigh... more

  • My XL Giant Bowery, all stock parts.
