Strange Rear brake conversion on track frame, on a £1,300 quid bike good or bad?

The installation of a clamp-on rear brake seems like a great idea to me. Drilling the seat stay bridge and then finding out you prefer fixed a couple of weeks later, would really pee me off. Should give better resell value as well.

Lets face it, if its a bodge its a stupid one.

Price of a hole = free
Price of a rare seatstay clamp system = more than free
