You're right of course chaps, certainly didn't feel overly htfu. Was my first fixed ride with hills and it really wasn't as bad as i expected. I must admit i nearly bailed and considered taking the tourer in place of the pennine but i'm particularly glad it didn't. I like the idea of geared folk towing trailers of pimms and flapjack tho...
If gears means more people enjoying themselves and coming along then its definitely the way forward. I know if i had a stunning old colny i'd be on it. Ah the green eyed monster.....
