They're no exactly common, anyone who watches Roberto's auctions is going to know how much I paid for them, so might as well be up front about it. Vast majority of the time I get a real fair deal of off Roberto, just occassionally I've paid him over the odds, this time I got a real steal.
Looking to sell them as, as I'm now going to use the Levels, I haven't got a build in the pipeline to put them on, but I'm not willing to sell them for the bargain price I bought them for, I'd rather hold onto them as, longer term, I'm bound to build a bike they'd suit.
So if anyone really wants them I'm happy to sell and am willing to haggle (a little) over price, but if someone's just looking for a bargain, these I'd rather hold onto. Not trying to rub anyone's nose in it, just being upfront :)

they were for sale for a long time for a reason.

did the previous owner use grit and sand instead of grease with the bearings ?

True
odd hole drillings unfortunately.... are slotted for aerospokes as well.
Also true and probably why they were for sale for a long time and why maybe no-one will want them here. To be fair I was explicitly clear about the number of drillings and that they're drilled for aerospokes :)

In line with the new classifieds rules, just closing all my old classified threads :)
Now that I'm buying the Levels I find I've got a (couple of) spare pair(s) of hubs.
One pairs a new and boxed set of gold anodised Hope high flange track hubs, these are drilled for 18 holes at the front, 28 at the back, drilled for aerospokes. Come with a matching gold anodised lock-ring. I want £145 for these, anyone who watches Roberto's sales on ebay will know I paid somewhat less than this for them, but I got lucky, am not desperate to sell them and think they're probably irreplaceable. £145 is two thirds of what it'd cost to buy a pair of Phil Woods and I think these are of comparable quality.

The second pair's a set of 36 hole low flange Mavics. I picked these up at a cycle jumble in Bruges and though I can't guarantee it, am fairly sure these are NOS and have never been built up into a set of wheels. They're quite light and amazing quality, if only they were drilled for 32 instead of 36 holes they'd be uber desireable. I paid £125 for them and that's what I want for them. They'll come, as pictured, with their original lock-ring.
