Sounds bad, Zane, well done for reading up on stuff beforehand and I'm very glad that there are witnesses to this hit-and-run, which is a very serious offence in addition to the offence committed when the driver pulled out from a parked position without adequately checking his mirrors. It is always advisable to be at least a door width away from parked cars, but this sounds as if you may well have been in that position and the driver still didn't see you or indeed check his mirrors. Please post here with progress on the case, and I really, really hope he gets caught, convicted, and sentenced.
