it is against the law to use shimano alongside campag in some countries

I'm guessing something to do with the brake quick release lever that you get with shimano, whilst campag use either the lever adjustment barrel, or turning the cable length adjustment screw- which is pictured above- to enable you to take the wheel out?

They just mean there's no way to slacken the cable on the brake itself, so if you're going to get the wheel off ... what Dammit said.

Yeah. These calipers have no quick release and are designed for use with Campy, whose levers have a QR.
In other words.. avoid them like the plague and find something that says "Shimano compatible". :)

Hi
after reading the following bit about a pair of brakes, I was slightly stumped to the part where it says "Great value but only compatible with Campag"
http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/components/brake-calipers/product/guess-cncd-callipers-8987
Surely these brakes can work with other levers or am i missing something?
thanks!
