Well, my chap (Tea_Bee) signed me up, so I suppose I had best put some words down.
I'm Nikki, and I don't own a Single-speed, or a Fixed Gear Bike. I own a Pashley Princess Sovereign. Hence my user name... ;-)
I've been riding for a couple of years, mostly just to do the commute to work (Which is very dull, as I work in ICT) and a little nipping hither and yon about town.
No "serious" about my riding at all, I'm a pootler, a dalli-er and hopefully soon, I'll be breaking out the summer riding cullotes ;-).I also have a back issue which means that the Up-right stance of my lovely Princess is perfect.
Thus, as I have a back issue, I just don't get what seems to me to be the insane desire to put your hands/head lower than your arse, even though I understand the aerodynamic principles behind it.
I live in London, and the other reason that my lovely chap signed me up here is that Tea_Bee persuaded me to join him at South-East London Beerz and I'll be popping in there regularly with him, and also to rant about my recent service debarcle at On Your Bike.
But, as I need to make more posts that this one, I'll save that rant for somewhere else.
