It appears to be serious.

My girlfriend works in the hospital at Lewisham. I'll ask her what's going on. Hope everyone is ok.

That's depressing because that road has big clear bus lanes both directions all the way apart from just by the Ladywell junction into Lewisham where you do get stupid driving where the lane ends. The main risk I've found is traffic trying to get in/out of Lewisham Hospital.
