  • I'm a total noob when it comes to this stuff, and I've seen these letters everywhere..
    Tried googling and searching here, but can't get a clear explanation.

    The only one I got, at least for NJS, is Nifty Japanese Shit..=P
    I know it's something with Keirin standards though..

  • Google it, you're defintely not even trying!;

    NJS - a wiki link appear 2nd from top

    NOS - a wiki link appear 5th from top.

    or just hover your mouse cusor on the dotted line under each word - NJS NOS.

  • bloody poor show, what!

  • Google, you're defintely not even trying!

    Google NJS - a wiki link appear 2nd from top

    Google NOS - a wiki link appear 5th from top.

    or just hoover your mouse cusor on the dotted line under each word - NJS NOS.

    damn, I guess I didn't try hard enough..!
    Thanks, thought I liked nifty japanese shit better than the real meaning..=)

  • Nifty Ostralian Shit

  • NOS - you're paying too much
    NJS - you're paying WAY too much.

    More helpful than the average unhelpful answer....

  • Nifty Ostralian Shit

    Lol, I got No Original Shit to add to this..
    But looks like a fine start for a new "What oven cleaner?" thread!

    @Jung
    That's what I figured as well..especially the NJS-parts are pretty ridiculously priced..

  • NOS: something that was worthless two years ago that you have just paid well over the odds for from a wizened old bike jumbler.
    NJS: something that was made for a purpose you will never use it for and have just paid well over the odds for from a new online retailer or "boutique bike shop"
    BIN: supposedly "buy it now" but in fact means part was destined for the waste disposal before the seller realized there were people gullible enough to part with cash for said item.

  • NJS just means that if you wish to compete in a betting system masquerading as a sport then you will be using equipment that is similar to other competitors thus guaranteeing a fair race for the punters.

    and has been crashed before being offered for sale to you

  • i want a BS 6102 T-shirt and cycling cap. if NJS is trendy why not BS 6102?
    i also want a retro t-shirt with the kite mark and AWESOME on it.

  • and has been crashed before being offered for sale to you

    This is the bit I don't get. NJS bikes are only offered forsale after that have been crashed. Why would you want one.

    'For Sale: Used Morris Mariner, lightly written off'

  • try and find the acronym to
    see you next tuesday

  • cashed up no troubles?

    Probably cos most the people that buy them, are never going to ride fast enough to crash :p
