train people - arrive early, get tickets and be ready to board first. Be prepared to double up in doors or fill the front carriage.

train people - perhaps a tot hale could phone a liv st to get the low down on how busy the train is and where to strategically stand on the platform etc - just an idea

riders to roydon - if you are meeting bmmf make sure you aint late. have you arranged other pick up points? do you know how to get to roydon if you missed bmmf or punctured and had to be left behind for a bit? be as independent as possible.

All - maps, lights, tubes, money etc etc etc. we have often found electrical tape, rubber bands, tyre boots, and biscuits to come in handy on these rides.

All - ride safe and easy. this looks like being the busiest ride yet. keep your distances, make clear and consistent shouts for cars, pot holes etc.

I hear ya. I'll change it tomorrow after work. I'd feel pretty bad if we missed the train back. Or more likely scenario - I'd feel pretty lonely out in Roydon on my own! :)

Speaking of trains back...like a numpty I only got a single out to Roydon! Anyone know if I can change it for a return without getting $hafted? slaps forehead

Here's to everybody making the train back! And just in case you miss it because of punctures, remember that Harlow, where a lot more trains stop, is just 5-10 minutes' ride away.

hmm - couldnt find the Hope Vision 1 anywhere in time for tonight - so I bought a Niterider Minewt re-chargeable thingy, the fellow in the shop said it is good. Dont think it is quite as bright as the hope - is it a load of pikey shite?
