:(
Good luck. Have you considered getting it repaired?

Shit dude, that sucks. Did you survive intact ??
More importantly, did the front wheel survive intact ??

Wouldn't both tubes need replacing? Any idea of cost?
The front wheel is fine(!!!), my wrists, cheek and shoulder are bruised... lucky I didn't go through the rear window, stupid antics on my part, driver and public were lovely about it all.

I had a similar thing happen to a frame of mine.
I sent it off to Mercian for a repair - two tubes replaced plus a respray. Add in the postage costs and it was more than a replacement frame would've cost if I'd spent a bit of time scouring eBay.
Not to mention the fact that it took weeks and weeks for the repair to happen.
And then, 2 weeks later, the seat tube cracked at the BB, probably due to the crash, but as it wasn't actually cracked at the time no-one noticed.I'd recommend putting some time and effort into sourcing another one.

Yeah, both tubes. Maybe the top lug by the looks of it. Send some pics to Argos and they'll be able to give you a quote. May also want to talk to Super Ted (if he's got the time).

Mine's on ebay...frame would be right size and would suit most of your components...except its 700c front (!)...I could throw in a nice Ultegra hubbed, Campag rimmed front wheel though (tub inc) and an aheadstem.....
PM me if you're interested...

do you need horizontal drop outs?
-
• #12
Not necessarily... track > horizontal > vertical.

I have the following which I bought off of ebay and time trialled for a while (til I bust my collar bone). Off games at the moment so surplus to requirement.
Reynolds tubing, originally built for Stuart Dangerfield. Top tube from memory is 55 c-c. It is vertical drop outs. A few small scratches but generally good condition. PM me if interested and we can work something out. 650 front.

mine's 700/700 Fort look a like with big bore down tube, and cut away seat tube, and I have a spare cheap front wheel for it, having cheaper forks in it will bring the price down, that's easliy done as is ahead forks.
Pm if vaguely interested.

I'm looking for something a little bit older really, but thanks for all the posts!
"Isn't it a lovely morning" I thought to myself whilst whizzing down Columbia road, gazing off into the distance. CRASH!
Now I'm in need of a new lo-pro (650) frame and thought I'd try here before browsing the bay for weeks. Gutted.
54-56cm actual top-tube, 55cm downtube (c-c) needed, anyone?
