Just incase anyone is interested in hearing about the 27inch jalco's, yes they are... back wheel currently has 2 broken and 4 slack spokes and front has about 8 slack spokes... both still tru!
Looking at the front wheel you can see the siluettes of polo balls that have burst through the spokes :-)
