I, too, recall the PMRC's pursuit of Judas Priest - as a c16 year-old at the time, how could they try to silence MY Metal Gods??! Damn you Tipper!
Later on I then discovered Zappa's Jazz from Hell could only be sold in the US with a PMRC-sanctioned 'explicit lyrics' sticker. (Jazz from Hell is, er, fully instrumental).
Much later on I then discovered the world's climate-change messiah was Al Gore. Gore? GORE? Married to that woman?
And then last night I discovered this. Just trying to get the thread back on track. Sexual coercion is alive and well in politics. Go Al, GO!
