Wanted: Looking for a Bob Jackson frame...

Again, I'm amateur at best (with ummm fixed) but I like these frames.

Or something similar, I'll keep fumbling about until I find something!

I would prefer a London pick up!

    Cheers flowers!

  • i think we're all amateurs here, don't worry

  • If you really can't wait for one check Cavendish Cycles, Brick Lane Bikes or Richmond Cycles who all may have frames in stock. Cost a bit more than ordering direct but no waiting involved.

  • I think Putney Cycles have them too.

  • Nice one fellas!

I'm looking for a 'vintage' number!

I can wait, but I guess I'm looking for a better deal.

Brick lane bikes were umm less than helpful to be honest.

  • £345 + £19 [p&p]=£365 form BJbut you have about 5-6 weeks wait....you can choose the colour....or £400 from a London shop...i got mine from BJ...they were brilliant and very helpful......fitted headset and BB for free and addtional bits are free such as mudguard eyes.

  • ^^^ same as Marxist_fixie. Very easy, and you get what you want.

  • Give them a call and ask for Daryll....lovely bloke not a BLB surly type...they want a £200 deposit..and the rest before they post it to you...lovely paint job and really carefully wrapped up..tell you mine looks brilliant.....i even sent the frame builder a card to say thank you......it is not just a frame but a work of art!

  • Nice one mate, I'll give them a bell

  • think cavendish cycles is the best option

  • Going to Leeds is the best option. Just do it, you know you want to.

  • Because you're worth it.

  • shouldn't be too hard everyone in london seems to have a bob jackson should be plenty around

  • It's grim up north like! Then suddenly as you get to Sunderland, it turns beautiful!!

Not loads around in London so far!

  • I thought it got grim just before Sunderland, and then became beautiful again as you approached the river Tyne. :)

  • I thought it got grim just before Sunderland, and then became beautiful again as you approached the river Tyne. :)

You have it all wrong bonnie lad!

Its like Moses and the red sea. The Sun parts the the clouds in Gods Country (Sunderland) and on either side (Boro and Newcastle) it turns to shite again.

  • £345 + £19 [p&p]=£365 form BJbut you have about 5-6 weeks wait....you can choose the colour....or £400 from a London shop...i got mine from BJ...they were brilliant and very helpful......fitted headset and BB for free and addtional bits are free such as mudguard eyes.

was this including the paul dropouts? if not, would you know how much extra they would be?

  • No.I asked and was told NO...but politely...if you want Paul drop outs then you have to go for a custom build...That is where it gets complicated and potentially more expensive. Custom build is £450 plus £19 for postage...at the moment there is such a back log of work that they are not taking any more custom builds for the moment...when they do...you MUST go up to Leeds for a measurement session...that has to be added to the cost of the frame..OFP...No need to visit Leeds! .Then there is a waiting time of AT LEAST 6 months for a custom build...however on a custom build...you can choose what tubing at added cost.....also straight or compact geometry...Paul trackends....about £35ish....OFP...631 main tubes all the rest is 525 and the forks are CrMo.....according to BJ...standard forks even if you want 953..I had the forks chromed and that added an extra 5 weeks...Hope this answers your question.....When i get my camera working...i will put a pic of my new BJ on the site.

  • Hey Marxist. Is the current wait time really 6 months on a custom Bob Jackson?

  • theres a guy selling one from fixed gear leeds, check out their blog or the facebook group or whatever... its purple and he wants about £250 for it

  • 54 too

  • Oh sammy...
