I think they're pretty accurate on the web site. I have a Flamboyant green finish whish is nice, and looks much like the internet pics.

They show the colour in their website? last time I remember all I see was a list of the colour name, rather than the colour itself.
Smallfurry, loving your bob.

thanks.
yes, the colors are found here: http://www.bobjacksoncycles.co.uk/colours.php
I am looking for the closest paint to a Molteni orange. for example: http://i41.tinypic.com/v66g5c.jpg
I emailed Bob Jackson and they responded with that they think the orange enamel or the metallic Arancio would work. Those colors just seem a bit too reddish.
I am also considering a silver-blue color. example: http://i-vol.com/bikes/raleigh_professional.htm
They said the best color for that would be the Blue "S" - do you guys think that looks close?
hmmm...
(pretty excited to finally order a Bob Jackson)

Sano and I have light metallic blue. Painted up can be seen here

very nice.
is that the ice blue metallic, celeste cosmos, or blue "s"?
-

The colours are fairly accurate, I have a vigorelli in Grigio grey, it's actually pretty glittery for a metallic in real life.

anyone happen to have a more clear color chart of the paint options that Bob Jackson provides? Or, at least, have a general idea of how true the colors are on their website?
Had one of mine repainted at Bob Jacksons and wanted exactly the same colours, perfect match, colours on web site were pretty accurate. No cheap though.

hey olo,
that colnago you posted is simply stunning!i got my hands on two colango track frames, they been resprayed by the previous owner, because his sponsor wanted it that way (moron..). now im thinking about having it resprayed again, cause i dont really like the colors...
does anybody know if colnago theirselves do resprayings?
cheers
-

not sure if colnago does resprays. I sure wish I had a colnago to respray...

awesome.
why not take the frame(s) to a competent and trusted frame painter in your area and order some NOS decals? I'm sure Colnago does great paint, but so can others.
-
• #13
All depends if you want a solid colour or the fancy work that the Colnago painters do by hand. May be hard to find a local frame painter that can paint the swirls, eye shapes etc, with an air brush...

thats what i thought.
i just wanted to tray the colnago option first...but maybe ill just take the frames to a painter around here. only problem is that i live in switzerland, and there are not too many of them around..at least i dont know too many.i mean...fancy colnago colors wouold be nice though.. ;)

I can tell you that their Enamel Bright Yellow is much brighter in person than it is on that photo!

I'm thinking about getting the Peacock Metallic. Does anyone have one in that color or has seen a pic of one that can show me?
-
• #19
never seen that colour
but it looks pretty. go with it. -

is it possible to get touch up pens from bob jackson. i stacked mine this morning and now have two lovely chips in my brand new frame!!!!! arrrrgh!
-
• #21
scratches and chips give the frame character.
-

I got lots of scratches and chips on the top tube of my Bob Jackson, a bit annoyed, but I don't care, it bound to happen sooner or later.
Just go and enjoy riding your new bike mate, after all it's only a chipped paintjob, not a dent on the frame.

cheers guys that helps! your right, im loving this fixed gear malarky. its brilliant. its like that feeling you got when you first learnt to ride, all over again.
just been out practising me track stands and skids. skids are quite hard on the knees but track stands are well satisfying!
thanks again!

if skids are quite hard on the key, change gear ratio??

Megadredge!
We're just about to push the button on a tandem from BJ, but are struggling over the colour. BJ still seem to have the same colour reference pics on their site, but I'd really like to know what they'll actually look like - RAL references would be ideal, does anyone know if BJs colours correspond to and RAL numbers? I'd call them, but they're closed at the weekend....really want to decide NOW!
