Headsets when changing from Alu to carbon forks?

My project pieces are coming together, but I'm thinking of upgrading my forks from Alu to Carbon before I build it, but after some reading, it looks like I need to change the headset too.

I've currently got a FSA ZS3 which fits my 50mm headtube and a set of Alu forks. Looking at some carbon forks on ebay which will fit, 700c and 1-1/8". Question is do I need to get a carbon specific headset for a carbon steerer, or can I use the headset I have?

Anyone explain the differences and why i'd need to.

Which bits the Bung?

I take is there's no chance of the alu frame/headset binding with the carbon. Had a carbon seatpost that binded with my old steel frame. Pain to get out.

A bung? No you don't, what for and where do you put it?

A carbon fork is just the same as a steel/alu one but lighter, only thing you need to worry about is size - 1" or 1 1/8"

The bung is because you're not supposed to use a star fangled nut on carbon steerers.

It replaces the top cap and star nut system.

What are the forks exactly?

If it's just an alloy steerer then there's no need to change anything. If it has a carbon steerer then you need a specific bung (insead of a star fangled nut), which doesn't damage the carbon like the nut possibly could.

So I can just get a bung for £8.99 and fit it to my FSA headset.
