Near perfect.

Just finished this off for this year. I changed a couple of parts from last year after riding it for a while. I have a Keirin brake for it, but it is currently set up for the velodrome.

Some of you might recognise this from a while ago, I found that it was covered in frame damaging rust, and left it in my parents shed.
IF its still there when I go home this summer, its getting a full and proper rebirth, with full record parts, just not moser panto'd this time, and a nice saddle, and clinchers, definitely clinchers.
its going to be a long expensive project with rechroming and enamelling and stuff at argos i thinkWhy?
because that ride from Oxford to London was the best lone ride I've ever had, so relaxing.
and I miss the bike. amazing thing it was. -

Picked this up on here last week from hilary stone. Going to be my first project to learn the ropes with the help of the friendly folks at jazz cycles on Holloway road. Any ideas, parts you may have that might work would be much appreciated. If you see me riding it this summer, say hello, cheers all.

That is absolutely stunning mate, beautiful bike!! You'd best be bringing that with you if you're coming over this side of the water!! You've just re-kindled my desire for a nice old-skool geared bike... :(
sigh -

Not bad first build on a budget. Please put some clips and straps on though...
Yeah I will, first thing on the list for tomorrow! Admittedly, I have been riding it without because I couldn't wait.

Just finished building up the Harry Quinn me girlfriend done bought me:
Here he was originally:

http://www.londonfgss.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=10087&stc=1&d=1242476940
http://www.londonfgss.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=10088&stc=1&d=1242476940I've taken off all the crappy old components and replaced with late 80's/early 90's Shimano 600 Ultegra. Only bits I left untouched was the Cinelli stem and Criterium bars and Selle seatpost.
Thanks to Fruitbat for the wheels - they were cleaned, polished and serviced to an inch of their life.
Only thing left to get is a decent saddle - possibly a San Marco Rolls or Concor, drop me a line if you wanna sell me something!
Glad I've got something perfect for long countryside riding and the Dynamo!
