    Do it ! Cheers ! I would love to know, I suspect (when all the other factors are considered) a dark background on an LCD display offers only negligible (if any) power saving as all the power is being used by the backlight - which remains on even when the screen is completely (pixel) black - and a black screen possibly uses more.

    I Googled it but couldn't find any definitive stuff.

    It would be cool if you could ask him:

    Does an LCD display use more power whether it is displaying black or white pixels. - To remove any ambiguity from the question maybe the question should be: does an LCD display, where the left half of the screen is white and the right half of the screen is black, use more power for either of the two halves ?
