the concept is mint, but i miss a mechanisim to change the seat angle, also a nylon lining as used in some toe straps or a cevlar cage for the membran could be a solution ( as used in foldable tyres) could dpo the membran strenght trick. due to the fact thats its a proto i still see good ways to even narrow the whole bottom cage construction to a minimum and also to make it a bit more less deep. if the structure of the bottom cage is more stabilised with each other ( for example http://www.core77.com/blog/object_culture/morphogenesis_chaise_9200.asp ) weight can be reduced and stiffness could be brought to a maximum.
hope you enjoy your project and get some good results about it, it really i a real nice idea and also a new step in saddle concepts. keep it up.
