I've been using a stove top for ages now, but I fancy an espresso machine. What are your recommendations for between £100 to £150 new or likely second hand prices?
eBay is your friend - seem to be lots of people at the moment looking round their kitchens for stuff to sell that they've hardly used.
I've found that I don't use my Gaggia that much these days - since I got my ceramic filter cone and started grinding my own stuff, I've grown to love the variety. Most roasters do two, maybe three espresso beans, but around eight to ten types for filter.
I was lucky enough to get my machine cheep, but if you're going to spunk more than a hundred, make sure it's going to do what you want. If you're drinking espresso, ristretto, latte etc. then go for it, but if you're having americano, then just spend a fiver on a filter.

Ah... Got a bit carried away there. Sorry...
