  • Wayne easy on the nose manuals and keep you eye on the ball fella, trixs are for tuesday nights!

Got my polo bike at work, be over with you ladies 6:30... RAIN STAY THE FK AWAY!

  • I'm feeling pretty battered, 3 hours of continuous polo with prav, elguapo and moog - way too many falls but the games have certainly got a faster and more tactical after Easties visit on Tuesday

now where's that bag of frozen peas…

  • hey dante,
some of those clubs you killed were nice.

you can buy the shafts for nothing:
    http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m38.l1313&_nkw=golf+shafts+&_sacat=See-All-Categories
    always go for stiffer flex.

when i was a lad I'd've killed for that cobra driver. my friend had one, and i was using my grandads old clubs

anyone bidding on these, i say it will be a good deal!!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wholesale-job-lot-joblot-21-golf-club-shafts-new-used_W0QQitemZ220410967498QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_WSJL_Wholesale_GL?hash=item220410967498&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1688%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

  • My ankle is going to be seriously fucked tomorrow, I just had the frozen peas on it for a while but it's still a mixture of whiteness and blood. Oh well had some great polo, having proper sized goals was a good decision.

  • Good games. good small goals.
Sorry I bailed on West beers - after getting home and eating I just passed out with a smile on my face.
Wayno you had a couple of spectacular falls! Pushing the boundaries.

  • Ed, how's the ankle today?

  • The whiteness has turned in to dark red so it looks a bit more normal now. Can't walk to great though so getting to Guildford this afternoon is going to be a barrel of laughs. How are your shins?

  • not too bad, deffo getting get an elbow pad tho - you've got a week to heal up!

  • In west london they... do it 3 times a week ;)

  • Westies, please come and be a part of the association,

  • Hey Mike, I reckon me and Prav will roll over for that…

  • Hi all

Been hanging around reading your threads (they keep me amused for hours on end when I should be working) for a while now but you guys have the joy of being the recipients of my first post!

Just got myself into the world of the fixed gear and built my first bike and I was thinking of popping down to watch you guys play next week if you don't mind a bit of an audience.

Are you playing at the time and location in the first post - Meadowbank Close at 1800 on Mondays?

    Cheers

  • pop down Tanya - there's always loaner bikes and mallets so feel free to get stuck in and have a bash

check the thread on monday for location [all 3 courts are within a couple of minutes of each other]

  • cool, thanks.
bit scared of having a go yet given the injury-related comments above but maybe i'll drink some courage juice and have a pop!
    tanya

  • ahhh, it's no big thing, I'm pretty risk-adverse and it's only a few bumps.

a few of us wear wristguards and the like and you're welcome to borrow those

  • pop down fella

    Gender fail !!

  • no, I'm definitely a bloke

    :^]

  • cool, thanks.

I wouldnt worry too much, I only feel the need to throw myself off my bike every so often to make guapo feel a bit less rubbish :P

  • Ha. I reckon that beard's false, just used to cover up the after effects of your botched downstairs cut'n'shut.

Fess up lady, you overdosed on steriods in your youth trying to win a place on the ladies rugby team.

    ;)

  • that progressive hormone therapy was cos I was having problems with my glands. I've got a doctors certificate and everthing

[you been out on the burner yet]

  • Nah, it's gonna get a proper service first but I've been working on the lo-pro so not had time.

Will be ready for the Brick to Brix in July though.

  • I wouldnt worry too much, I only feel the need to throw myself off my bike every so often to make guapo feel a bit less rubbish :P

Not that I want anyone hurt, but it was a welcome change to be the one "NOT" falling over in agony yesterday. I have T-shirts rolled up and stuffed in my shorts to pad out my hips now. Poor mans pads, but better than nothing.

  • Where the hell is Dante? He's been missing out on tons of great games.

  • Touring, think he's off with Gong at the moment....

  • pair of elbow pads from charity shop £2 - result!

Elguapo - check out a 'sportsworld' near you, in the cricket section they are doing a pair of thigh pads for 4.99 [would have just grabbed you a pair but there were none left in the store at putney]
