yeh il probably go with that!

Hubs laced to Open Pros by a proper wheelbuilder will be plenty strong enough, and lighter than Deep Vs. Deep Vs look good but are considerably heavier, though do a nice range of colours.

Nice one, I was going to try for it, wallet didnt allow.
A nice frame indeed. -

Thanks Stein,
@manc ronnie - i was thinking of building them myself at a vintage bicycle restoration place with the help of a kind mechanic, plus im going to do some volunteer work so hopefully i can get some free wheel building help and use of a good truing stand :) -

open pro rims! or polished rigida dp18s if you can't resist the deep section...
-
• #8
Or wait a couple of days, as I'll be selling some polished DP 18 x ambrosios, some FIR deep section x on one (black), and some Gran compe x Campag Omega 19 (box section black)....
I built the GC x Omega 18s already, look noice!
just a suggestion...... -

^ sorry about the blatant opportunism.
I feel like a dick, but I've decided which are going ( except maybe the FIRs as they are going to be 4 cross).
And I'll give as good a price as I can. -

Build it up, ride the b'jesus out of it, then ghosty it off a cliff.

Zenith hubs laced to open sport/pro rims or velocity deep vs (whats best i have very potholey roads)
I believe the consensus is that deeper sections will be harder to destroy, but give a slightly harsher ride (and have more rotating weight, which is a Bad Thing). At the speeds most people ride the aerodynamic advantages of a deeper rim are pretty much moot, too. 36 spokes and a really good build are probably the key factors in pothole survival.

very nice

Hey Guys,
Ok so i managed to scoop up that barron frame for £170, good deal?
Now i need to know what to stick on it!? im thinking:
Zenith hubs laced to open sport/pro rims or velocity deep vs (whats best i have very potholey roads)
Cinelli drops (38cm) and Stem
Campag/shimano seatpost
Rolls Saddle
BB and Headset (already with it) might change headset to campag record
Campag strada 165mm cranks (if i can find some) or Seguinos
Shimano SPD pedals/Campy pista pedals (already got)
KMC chain
Dura Ace cog
Some chain ring (any ideas?)
