£180 was a great deal in the first place. Just built up my Mavic GP4 tubs on the same Dura Ace for a lot more than that!
Just got some GP4s myself, what do you think of them?

aserota, I would advise to just let this one go, you made a mistake in your selling practice in relation to this forum, and people jumped on it.
Sell the wheels on, whether on ebay for as much as you can get, or on here for not as much as you were asking for originally, and just make sure, when you sell on items on the forum, you bought for a song on the forum, you don't mark them up or risk this kind of shit storm happening again...as you were.

Its bad form, and nothing else can be said to overcome that point, and regrettably the perpetrator has dug himself in even deeper with his arrogant and foolish comments, but then it was really arrogant to put the wheels back on here again, if a fast buck was the aim, and I can't personally see any other aim than that here.
Its incedible to come back to try to sell what was sold at a good and kindly price, for a much higher one, and to have used the items for 3 months on the road too.
There's got to be brake marks on the front rim (and crap braking too, with that finish on them for road use too) and the rain and salt etc, as well as general use means they're used, and therefore worth less than bought for.
Some things do go up in value in the bike world, but they're rare, and its supply and demand/market forces, but not with wheels, not even if its Ghibli/Mavic 5 spoke either.
I worry that the buyer feels he/she's getting a good deal, perhaps I'm wrong there, but I don't think I am, but seeing this certainly breaks my views on trust.

I put the wheelset up for more then i bought it for, im sorry and i apologise to all. I have said this many times, but yes i have just been digging the hole deeper.
The wheelset is immaculate, for your post above i can provide detailed pictures if you want? They have covered few miles (300ish) and have been treated with care. I have had them for 3 months, but have only been on the road for 3 weeks.
The buyer is fully aware of this thread and i wanted to get this issue resolved before i sold, but this is clearly not going to happen now.
I feel nothing i can say will be considered anymore on this thread, so i wont be posting on this thread anymore.
If you dont like my behaviour regards selling then report it to a moderator and request them to ban me?

i do have a small amount of sympathy for this guy after his last post, still you learn from your mistakes. . .

• #87
ok, I certainly forgive you after your last post- thank you, I salute you, we all make mistakes in life, reailsing them, admitting them, and mending them is good for the soul.
End of, we move on.
Good luck with the sale, I'm just hoping the new buyer doesn't bring them back at £300 ;-)))))
