I'm begining to really love the way that Brixton do things. I know I work there, and as it's a workers co-op I'm kind of like a part owner and I probably shouldn't be bigging up my own shop, but oh well
We do charge a fair amount for puncture repair. £4.50 for a tube and £8 labor, but everything that needs to go into the workshop is a minimum of £8.
We also only take in any repairs (including punctures) during the first hour of business. This may sounds like we are completely screwing over people who just wander in with a puncture, but we aren't. We have a HUGE box of lending tools, and are willing to help people fix there own punctures, simply for the price of a tube. It's a good way of helping people to get to know their bikes better, IMO.
