I forgot one of my kid's swimming kits and had to pop back home for it and drop it off before heading to work. It's in one of those beach bags with the two pull cords. I didn't put it in my backpack, which would have been sensible. As I was rushing I just rested it on my bars. Well... the stringy bit must have got caught in my wheels. I felt the whole bike get pulled sharply to the left and I landed heavily on my right side. Bike: fine. Me: multiple road rash, sore knee and twsited calf. Luckily, there are now these ambulances that just hang around the streets waiting for trouble and one just happened to be parked across the road, so I got instant medical attention.
