  • no probs

  • the dude who wrote that rides a dutch bike,i think they are a lot more cooler than a ''fixie''

  • Aye. I must say I've been surprised by how cheap Condor is for some tyres though. Pretty much identical to Parkers et al for higher-end Vittoria.

Yup- thats where I spent my money and they were also friendly.

  • yeah, rate condor for sure

  • The way I look at it is, if you have matching hubs and and a non-dished rear wheel, by going 3x on both you only need to buyone length of spoke. This should work out cheaper and is a bit easier. Crap reason really though.

No, good reason! Depends on how much time you have and how much you want to spend. Def 3x is easy, there again if I just need a front wheel and want to run it radial I only have one length of spoke to buy too.

As for cheaper, it depends. On the net def it is cheaper to just buy a single length, otherwise it's up to the shop...

  • bikes are the new vinyl and blb is the new black market records or whatever other hipster DJ joint you frequented 10 years ago.

  • Black Market?!? Dance music?!? Pffffffffffff!?!

  • how lame?

how long is a piece of string? sometimes its short, sometimes its long, sometimes there is no string and sometimes a string can tie together 2 planets.

i think that was a good analogy, no?

Yeah. I regret this thread, I was pissed off and it does not make a whole lot of sense. I find it quite funny though.

  • I quite fancy one of the girls who works there on Sundays.. with all the beards and piercings it reminds me of Lord of the rings though

  • jonkjonk: "I quite fancy one of the girls who works there on Sundays.. with all the beards" etc.

strange taste in girls or typo?

  • Ah yes, wasn't the best combination.. what I meant was:

    1. I find one of the female employees who works at BLB on the weekend attractive
    2. However a few of the other people there have large beards and piercings and I am startled by their resemblance to the well known book/films 'Lord of the Rings'
  • I went into BLB last Friday evening. Everyone was wasted. I was going to buy a bike but instead went to the pub. I'd go back but only on a friday evening.

  • In order to get wasted too?

  • Yeah, the bird in there who wears bikini tops instead of bra's offered me a vodka - gonna go back on friday with some tonic and ice.

  • ??

check this great link about how to fit your own chain without tools, try it it might work%$$^@!!!!!!!!

  • my favoutite shop , could never afford anything there though.......

  • I menat CONDOR in london being very helpful in Greys Inns Road. I really would vote them my best shop but have not been to many, the guys in Exeter Road, what are they called are also OK, but all fuckin bike shop guys are wiered anyway, but they are my best friends. OOh by the way if you are looking for singlespeed or fixie in South Africa, go to Crosstown Cycles in Kennilworth, Cape Town

  • Yeah, the bird in there who wears bikini tops instead of bra's offered me a vodka - gonna go back on friday with some tonic and ice.

Sound like you're on the mend ;)

Seriously though how are you getting on?

  • Soul tourer are you unwell? Your post seems a little ... drunk.

  • Sound like you're on the mend ;)

Seriously though how are you getting on?

Right now? Stiff as a board - just got back from physio and making full use of our new sofa. Got another op a week today.....other than that doing OK thanks. It's going to go on forever....

Gotta arrange drinks with Mary very soon..

  • Good luck next week, mate, I hope there's a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

  • Thanks mate, we're getting there. On the plus side i've just bought a Fuji Track to ease me back in the saddle....cheap as chips online, with a few mods should be good. Haven't ridden it yet - need to research some comfy (ladies?) saddles.

  • So, shall i buy a pair of deep V wheels from blb or not?

  • You should. That's where they're cheapest.
