Just signed up to my first tri and thinking of using my Charge Plug, I can flip over to ss to make it compliant with the rules, but suspect that I'll need to get some new gearage for a half decent time.
Bike is 42 16 as standard, what's cheapest/easiest way of upping the gearage?
Assume easiest and cheapest is to get a 14T ring? Would that fit on my OTP cassette hub? Or would that not be enough? Do I have to man-up and replace the chainwheel (and crankset?) with something teethier 46/48?
(arise lazarus!)

It's a very flat 20K, loops around Dorney lake with lots of straights. Anyone else doing this? http://regonline.activeeurope.com/builder/site/default.aspx?EventID=681256
