http://tokconstruction.co.uk/ are advertising for building labourers at present on Jobcentreplus. From past experience, that usually means they're actually looking - otherwise they'll avoid the flood of applications from long-term-unemployed nutnuts that jobcentre adverts bring.
I used to use Laboursite.com a while back too - generally good for some lugging-stuff-about work. They seem to have been taken over, so you may want to call them to get the current state of play.
