Trackstanding/Chain Tension

fyi my chain was making hell of a racket for the last month, had it tight as fck and was riding up hill and popped a KMC chain... so i reckon- if you can hear it- its too tight. I learnt the hard way... ever had a chain snap on you? not fun.

thats never happened to me and i hope it never does, depending on how steep the hill is that sounds really scary. hope you didnt end up rolling back into the front of the vehicle behind you!

don't hold onto me, but I think it sound like your chain is a little too tight mate, you should loosen it a little (doesn't feel tight when you flick it) while maintaining a straight line.

yeah thats how i do it, so its visibly straight but has a little bit of give. feels healthy, especially now since for ages months ago i ran my chain too tight. careless yout'!
