    thanks

  • ride a 54 regular geometry bike, and a 54 lo pro, but my lo pro is 700's front and rear.
i think people normally go a little bigger on the seat tube measurement.
it would prob be better to judge it by the effective top tube measurement.

  • I ride 56-57cm track, 59cm road and my lo pro was 62cm and fitted me perfectly.

Most people seem to ride lo pro's that are too small for them.

  • it would prob be better to judge it by the effective top tube measurement.

    +1

  • Looks nice. I think I ride a bit bigger on my lo pro than regular. Think my lo pro is effectively about 57/58 and I'm 5'10" and it's fine. (Normally ride 55)
I've had to put on an ergostem and persuit bars to stretch myself out a bit though because the top tube is pretty small.

  • cool thanks guys. at least now i can go in there looking like i know a little bit so he wont rape me on the bartering for it.
    he wants 125euro for it.....

  • lo-pros have different angles to a normal frame. none of them are standard. you have to try it out.

  • size would also depend on whether you were using proper drop/pursuit bars or nodder/mtb bars.

  • Seat tube length is not very important as long as you can get the saddle low enough for your normal saddle height. With lo pros the top tubes slopes down (and there's often an extended seat tube) so standover clearance is less likely to be a problem. But Top tube length is important. If you're using proper aero bars (either cow horns or the Tri type) TT length will need to be a little shorter than on your standard road bike ... if you're using flats you will probably need a riser stem and TT length can be longer but it all really boils down to where you like your bars. Best advice is to measure your current set up - saddle-bar length, saddle-bar height and see if you replicate it on the frame you fancy.

  • went and saw the bike last night. the top tube is smaller than my bike so i now have a new summer project. got the frame fork BB and headset for 100euro.
    thanks for the advice.
