I've fallen over with my feet still in the clips/straps several times whilst rather drunk, but never whilst sober, although I have had some comedy bails from tricks/wallrides where one foot has got stuck in the clips slightly as I try to jump clear of the bike lol.

Things we do well on this forum, organise and go on a regular basis to Drinks, wherever they may be, and Ride.
So in the spirit of these two elements, comes the all new,
New Members Compass Beer Rides. It has been noted that meeting up with a big group of forumengers that you don't know in a pub can be slightly intimidating. So to make it less so, this idea has been put forward to combine drinks and rides.
Think of it as a Forum Fresher's week, without the hazing, so that the previous months new members get a chance to meet up with, and ride with fellow forumengers. Talk bikes, find out where drinks are, and get a good ride in at the same time
You can come out to the beers closest to you, or trek out to a beers on the otherside of town, safe in the knowledge that you'll be with people who a) know where they are going, and that b) someone will be heading back in your general direction so you can ride home in the company of another forumenger. So For One Week, every couple of months, there will be rides from Trafalgar Sq, to the Beers,
**Monday - Souths @ The Coach and Horses
Tuesday - Norths @ The Flask or
Tuesday - South Easts @ The Kings Arms or
Tuesday - Trixie Dix @ **White's Row Car Park Roof. White's Row, Off Commercial Street
** Wednesday - Easts @ The Royal Inn on the Park
Thursday - Wests @ The Crabtree or The Ship (season dependent)
Sunday - Polo @ Downham Rd Polo Courts.**A couple of regulars from each beers will be at Trafalgar Sq from approx 6.30 for a prompt 7pm departure, (1pm for a 1.30pm departure on Sunday) And will take any new member who so wishes for a ride which will arrive at beers/polo.
The Next Compass Beer Rides will be
May 11-17** 2009**.check out the thread and start putting your names down, Monday's just round the corner..

Hello folks, I'm a frog, I've been riding fixed for a year, I'm from your french homolog pignonfixe.com. I'm from Rouen, so some of this forum guy may have noticed me/my bike or both.
And, well... I usually don't like when people do that but I just registered to sell my bike (it doesn't go off on the french forums, I try here and then it put it on ebay).
I sell the entire bike minus (the rear wheel and the seat post + saddle) for 400 GBP
Fuji track pro 08 58cm, miche primato red cranks, profile 40 stem and nitto b123, carbon token bb, cane creek headset, odyssey twisted pedals, no dent
Sorry if it looks like spamming, but that nursery thing surprised me -

Time for the ritual self-abasement of the welcome thread, then...
Hello! I like bikes.
I have no questions.
As you were.

Er - Hi everyone!! Noob Nursery post. Been a silent admirer for a while now and have ridden past the Clapham pub every day on my "urban hybrid" for the last year on my commute home (live round the corner) and seen the members that gather there and always wondered???
Now, after an impetuous decision, I have an SS but it's an OTP from a big name (GF paid for it, but it's not a Langster). Not sure how acceptable it is as I could rightly be accused of being a Fakenger!! However the few days I have been riding said fixed I already know I could never use gears again - does that count???

Yes. Welcome, stop for a pint next time you pass. I'm sure most of the london dwellers won't bite.
