I have no problem with it being funny!
I'm completely unhurt (I got more injuries from going swimming on sunday!), the bike is actually in a surprisingly good state. nothing some more filing and bolt tightening can't fix. Should be a proper stable bike in time for wests on Monday.
The need to cover the outer ring of the double is troubling me though... anyone got any suggestions? I'm thinking 42 teeth worth of chain with rubber bands running through them?
