As eightball said, get in touch with emmeff if you want to know all about Sustrans. He's shown me some of the work he does with schools and it all looks pretty cool - getting more kids cycling to school, mechanics, storage, cycling in PE (how cool is that??), and even got one school to clear out their own little off road track on the school grounds.
