In a car? I have one of those to, could probably just about squeeze 2 other people and kit in there.

We were talking about a trip to the SD. And fuck riding, we'll just drive . . . OoooH! Controvercial!
Fuck off! This is a bike forum, now go get yourself back to the car appreciation thread ;)

but on a train we can all enjoy a beverage or two, and also british people are very amused by ski gear in summer.
like summer training last year and the Eurostar. -

I don't mind the train either, just no way i'm cycling with my boarding stuff in a trailer!

Henry, you can drink in James car, but my ride is a drink free zone!! Watch the upholstery!! FFS! ;)
Car, train, walk, it's all the same coz I probably can't afford it anyway! How much is the SD these days?? ( I last want in November but cant remember!)

Snow dome is well expensive I reckon Dorset would be the better/cheaper bet.

I am up for checking out HH when it is finally open - MK holds too many nightmare visits for me to bother going back
-
• #111
Yeah Hemel Hempstead looks like its gonna be amazing, and not run by the same cunts as MK, so it should be cheaper/better/just plain awesome :)
-
• #112
No its more expensive - 50 quid for the freestyle session
-
• #113
Ouch! really? It better be a bloody good park to justify that price.
-
• #114
Fifty quid! WTF! I'll have to sell another kidney :(
-

Well Milton Keynes was £35, to deal with the worlds most horrible poma lift (that gives you a dead leg after an hour or so), and a tiny short ass slope with snow that feels like dust, and poorly maintained features......Dorset it is!

I know Snowboard Club UK have payed for an awesome box thats good for all levels - the first Freestyle session is this Friday - heres what HH looks like

I am disapointed to see they have gone the Poma route at HH though - magic carpet is much better in domes

Agreed, I thought they would have learned from all the people that whinge about the shitty pomas at MK.

more time consuming and expensive to maintain though, that's why indoor snow places tend to plump for pomas

Looks the same as MK!

eyebrows, what happened to your helmetcam vid? i'd be keen to see that..
and crazyjames, did you go to snowbombing? did you hit the penken park? i had a look and bricked it and just went through the kiddies park..

For me Portes De Soleil has it licked for parks - i know Mayrhofen and others may lay claim to the Best park, but the number of quality parks in Avoriaz is great, awesome superpipe, and the Chatel park over the swis side run by Romain De Marchi's cousin has some of the Gnarliest jumps out there.
Plus the Stash when its snowed is awesome, best jibs and bonks out there - heres me (orange jacket) and my crew there this season showing the Yeti some love!

when I actually have time I'll get round to editing it.
but there are hours of shit to tread trhough first. -

Yeah I went Mayrhofen 3 weeks before snowbombing, didn't go to bombing itself though, the penken park was pretty sick, I can do most the rails there, probably about 60% of the kickers, but i'm not quite brave enough for the really big fuckers yet, i'd like to learn some better aerial tricks first as well other than my super duper frontside indy grab 360 haha!

^^ aye, they're definitely ones to build up to.. there were some amazing riders / skiiers there during snowbombing week, but i guess there are every week.. good effort if you can crack that much of the park
i always think that the pain to impresiveness ratio in learning the park isn't a good one though..
i ski and am happy just being able to throw some 3s and slide straight rails - it hurt enough just getting those nailed.. am heading to whistler for next season though so i'll see how i get on then
