For Sale: Tasty Cannondale track frame

  • Up for grabs with great reluctance is my treasured 58cm Aluminium CAAD5 Optimo Cannondale Capo track frame & forks. Condition is excellent as can be seen in the pictures... totally straight and true, never been crashed or dropped, there are a few minor scuffs and marks in the usual places but overall in excellent condition. Sale includes the frame & carbon blade Cannondale forks, FSA sealed headset worth £30, Sugino 75 bottom bracket worth £50 & seat clamp. I've included a picture of it built up to give you an idea of the geometry & stance.

This frame is incredibly light and agile. The rear seatstays have a sexy curve to them that will soak up some of the road bumps but leaving the overall ride feeling stiff, responsive and agile. Hand made in the US, this is a top quality frame with beautifully neat and smooth integrated welds.

The frame was custom powder coated signal gray with an additional clearcoat last summer to a high standard by the famous Armourtex workshop in Hackney, so this adds to the uniqueness and durability.

Geometry as follows... Top tube... 57.5cm center to center Standover at toptube mid point...84.1cm Wheelbase... 102cm

    £300

Preferred cash on collection evenings & weekends from the Old Kent road, London, but can meet in central London depending random work busyness.

  • Can you make the top tube shorter please?

  • No, but you can fit a shorter stem and a seatpost with zero layback :)

  • Nope, done all that before. Makes the bike handle allot less well (dude, I cannot believe english is my first language).

  • Not really... a 50mm stem handles perfectly & the seatpost makes no difference to handling.

  • Not true. A short stem makes a huge difference to handeling, especially when it would have to be shorter than 50 mm to make it ride-able for me. I'm a lady with a very small upper body.

  • such a nice frame, can't believe it's not sold!

  • Yeah I know....I get the feeling that times are tough for people who want to buy bling bikes :-(

  • Cool yer beans, I'm not saying you should buy it & stick a zero stem on it. I've got no idea how big you are... it's a 58cm frame & it would suit someone about 6 ft tall. It rides fine with a 50mm stem which is what I used on it... that's all I'm saying.

  • such a nice frame, can't believe it's not sold!

    ditto!

  • Sorry, just been through the "I'll make it fit!" too much recently. I'm 5'10", but am having to have a frame built for me because I can't find one that I don't need to jack up the seat post and the stem, the put on a 20-30 mm stem on. Meh, all you people with your pretty, large bikes.

  • this frame is lush...I'd be all over it if I wasn't moving this month. Always wanted a Cannondale track...

  • If someone hasn't snapped it up by the end of the month then I will get back to you. Why haven't you ebayed it yet?

  • such a rad colour too...

  • Hi Nick,
Are you nogotiable on price at all? It looks like i have a buyer for my frame and yours is the perfect fit for me. Drop me a PM if you are!

I work in London SE1 2DA, so could collect in the next few days

    Regards

    Adam
