seller: I know very little about bikes so please bear with me and excuse any obvious mistakes. I have done a bit of research on the Hetchins website and I think this is a 1958/9 Experto Crede. The serial number is H27545. Measures approx 23" from top of seat tube to centre of bottom bracket. In lovely condition for its age. Has a Brooks B17 leather saddle. Stem is GB forged Houminium, handlebars are taped so I cannot give a make. Front brake is Lytalloy, back brake is unmarked. Alloy rims with quick release wingnuts, hubs are stamped Harden. I believe the rear is known as a flipflop, one gear is freewheel and the other fixed. Tyres are very good and marked Hutchinson Kevlar. Bottom bracket stamped Bayliss Wiley. Pedals are Chater-Lea with Tommybar fitting as is the very unusual chain ring. Cranks are Williams. Cages are marked GB Type Professional. Mudguards are Blumells Lightweight and the rear one has a crack at the reflector which could be taped.
makes one wonder how this person stumbled across a bicycle so fine. i am not suggesting it's stolen i'm just amazed that someone who clearly by their own admission only knew it was a nice looking bicycle came to now own it. wow i guess it must have been cheap somewhere. anyway enough bank holiday musing for me.
